Bangalore Womens Group Outing

Our ChukkiMane Team is happy to provide the best possible amenities to our guests as we become a part of their happiness. Now, the point is that we have many memorable occasions to recollect and remember at our Rural-Enterprise and one such memory that we hold in our hearts was when a large group of ladies from a well-known Ladies Club at H.A.L Layout, Bangalore visited ChukkiMane on a weekend and coincidentally it was a special occasion of Dasara/Navarathri festival that falls in the month of October.

Firstly, they checked in the early morning of the day of their arrival and were served with lemonade drink to refresh themselves as they had a long drive. Then, they were served with a South-Indian style Breakfast prepared by our head chef Mr.Rajesh.

Further, after a tasty morning Breakfast, the members were given a brief synopsis about the purpose behind the establishment of ChukkiMane followed by an eco-walk along with the team.

It is here that the women folk understood about the eco-friendly ideas like Conservation of Water, The methods to preserve our Nature, Importance of Natural Resources in the world filled with the Man-made objects, Practical aspects of farming, Traditional Methods of Ploughing, and other initiatives that has been take up by ChukkiMane to promote the sustainable lifestyle and eco-friendly existence.

On the way back to the main house of ChukkiMane one of our team members mentioned the “Dandiya Night” that is going to take place at ChukkiMane that evening and as expected their joy was a delightful sight. Fortunately, they had also carried their ethnic wear with them as the group came prepared with the thought that there would be a special program on the occasion of the nine-days festival of Dasara but never knew what kind of surprise was in store for them as it is always fun to be surprised.

However, there was still a lot of time for the program to begin and hence they had enjoyed adventures like the Village trails through the routes of Javaganahalli and had also got a chance to visit the places in and around ChukkiMane.

Then the delicious Mysore-Style Cuisine was eagerly waiting to welcome them at the pavilion and after a heavy meal, the women-folk had relaxed for an hour and also played some traditional games like Pagade, Snake & Ladder, Alaguli Mane and many such games that took them back to their childhood days and this led to them vow that they will surely introduce the ancient activities in their future meet-up sessions of their Ladies Club to reminisce their childhood.

Finally, the much-awaited moment of their stay arrived for which the ladies got themselves groomed for the “Dandiya Night.” The night began with the offerings made to the Goddess Durga as we believe that she is one of the major deities of the cultural city “Mysore” and the other places around.

After the pooja, Dandiya night commenced in a unique manner with the village-style of instruments as a support to the outsourced Dandiya Dancers with whom the Ladies got to shake their legs for the next 2-3 hours.

One of the members in the group knew the Dandiya and Garba steps as she studied in Gujarat where her father was posted and she was the one who voluntarily taught the steps to the other ladies of her group and also promised to teach them more in their future monthly meet-up sessions.

Then came the time for the next big moment- the special dinner which was exclusively prepared by our culinary team. The ladies had a sumptuous dinner and filled their stomachs after which they retired to their respective cottages and slept with a peaceful mind which we believe was filled with the thoughts of Nature, Fun, and Enjoyment.

Finally, the next morning their time of departure arrived and they were satisfied with their trip but wished they could stay longer at ChukkiMane. With loads of memories in their hearts, they promised to visit ChukkiMane soon again.
