Are you one of those who loves nothing more than sitting back by the water, fishing rod in hand, just waiting to reel the big catch in? If so, our fishing camp is the destination you’re looking for.
Located by the pristine backwaters of the river Cauvery, our camp offers visitors the perfect option for their weekend fishing plans with a relaxing environment and incredible view. As a private area free from external disturbance, our fishing camp provides you complete safety and security as you spend your time angling in the river. While the river is home to a variety of fish, the chief attraction and real crowd-puller is the majestic Mahseer. Being a protected species however, this fish needs to be released back into the water in order to conserve the species
Note: Visitors will have to arrange for their own fishing licences and equipment and will have to ensure the fish is released back into the water as per the guidelines of the Forest department. Happy angling folks!
The thrill of fishing apart, our camp has a lot more to offer visitors, starting with a diverse wildlife experience as spotted deers, grizzled giant squirrels, marsh crocodiles, turtles and snakes can be spotted in the region. There is also a lot in store for birdwatchers, with over 230 species of birds including Fish Eagles, River Terns, Kingfishers, Green Pigeons, Woodpeckers and Owls found in the area. Our hearty vegetarian meals prepared with fresh organic vegetables will keep you charged and raring to go at all times.
August to February is the best time to visit if you’re a serious angler as the monsoon ensures the river is brimming and the turbulent rapids would turn up a real sport to test your skills. The waters recede around March, revealing wide sandbanks for you to lounge by in the evenings.
