Ingredients to make Sajje Rotti (Pearl Millet Roti)
- Pearl Millet : 3 Cups.
- Boiling water : 3 Cups
- Normal water : as required
- Salt : as required.
Directions to make Sajje Rotti (Pearl Millet Roti):
- Put Pearl Millet in a big bowl. add salt and mix it well.
- Pour boiling water and leave it for 5 minutes.
- Mix well and kneed the dough (chapati consistency) using required water.
- Keep a bowl of water and a clean cotton towel by the side of the stove.
- Keep 1/2 cup of dry pearl millet flour in a small bowl.
- Kneed the dough and divide in to small portion.
- Take a small portion of the dough and dip in to dry flour.
- Roll it as chapati using a roller.
- Keep a pan on the fire and heat. Put the rolled roti and cook.
- Dip the clean towel in the water. Squeeze out the extra water and just press roti with wet cloth.
- Turn the roti other side and cook on that side. Repeat using the wet cloth on the roti.
- This will help to remove the extra flour on the top of the roti and roti turns soft and fluffy.
