Sanjay Shankarappa

sanjaySanjay Shankarappa hails from the village of Javagal, near Halebidu, a center of beautiful sculptures of Hoysala period. His first 15 years of childhood was spent in Javagal which gave him complete experience about village life, people, culture, education and food. His journey of village life started when he was working in agriculture fields with his Grandfather using traditional tools, equipment and bullock cart. He learnt about growing different varieties of crops and plants like Ragi, Sunflower, Jowar, cereals,millets and Sugarcane. He has also grown different types of vegetables and has sound knowledge of growing horticulture crops like Coconut, Betel nut, Magnetos, Turmeric, Citrus fruits, Banana, Papaya and traditional medicinal plants etc… He has also learnt preparing traditional village recipes from his Grandmother and has a great passion towards cooking especially using firewood. Has more than 25 years of experience in farming and village life.

Sanjay is also a successful entrepreneur. He started website development and digital marketing company Nispaara (www.nispaara.com) in Bengaluru in the year 2001. Nispaara has been creating some highly effective websites for National and International customers. Nispaara has generated million dollar business to IT and export manufacturing companies. Sanjay has a diverse taste in photography as he has dabbled in industrial photo shoots, travelogues, and bird photography.
Sanjay is a self-confessed traveler and his love-affair with the still images began when he started capturing distinct geographies in his camera. His images are well passioned and he has a long working relationship with many of his clients. Apart from his undying passion for agriculture, photography and nature, Sanjay has active interests in social causes too. He has been actively involved in numerous social initiatives like creating small libraries for village schools, the Grow Trees campaign, which strives for a greener, cleaner tomorrow for our future generations.

Vamsidhar Kothala

1Vamsi has around 16 years of experience in various adventure sports from trekking to mountaineering in terrestrial sports, kayaking to sailing in aqua sports and paragliding to sky diving in Aero Sports. He has successfully completed 21-day challenge from Outward Bound, Singapore. To his credit, he has scaled 20,000 feet high Island Peak and Lobuche East Peaks. He has also completed mountaineering course from Nehru Institute of Mountaineering. He has also taken part in a number of biking, off roading expeditions. He has also driven from Delhi Kartung la (the highest motorable road). During his drive, he had also created awareness on sacrifices/services by Border Road Organisation (BRO) men in laying these roads. He had also gifted desktop calendars which were appreciated by the BRO head. He has successfully designed and facilitated “experience-based” outbound training programs.

He has also designed various rope courses/outbound training camp sites for schools and Resorts in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. He has also been regularly conducting various adventure programs and camps for schools and corporates. He has been a regular consultant for a number of adventure parks across South India. Professionally a software engineer with work experience at top companies like IBM, eFunds, Lucent Technologies, has founded an out and out adventure company, Freakouts that has spread its foot across Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh covering a wide variety of adventure sports. Freakouts has tie ups with Andhra Tourism and have created various adventure zones at their popular tourist locations like Horsley hills, Dindi Resort, Araku, Tyda, Botanical Gardens and Durgam Cheruvu (Hyderabad).
For its achievements, Freakouts had got National Award in 2009 and State Award in 2012. Through this, he has trained thousands of students and corporates till date and rekindling an adventure interest among common man. In his adventure experience of over a decade, he has built a team of passionate adventure people for various outbound programs for individuals and teams.
